response for “Do Seek Their Meat from God”

On Charles G. D. Roberts’s short story, “Do Seek Their Meat from God”, that man save the crying child in the jungle, which indirectly cause the small panther die. It cannot be admitted that the man killed the panther. However, he saves the baby, which is also the food of the panther. Thus, the small panther died because of no food. As well, the man killed the old panther. However, this is the law of the jungle. The death is the moment everyone must have. Either of the panther or the baby will die. And the man chooses to save the baby instead of panther, because he was human.

  1. I liked reading your blog post responses for the short stories. The poem about Love was particularly effective in its use of parallel structure and form. It must have been difficult getting the stanzas to look like hearts! I felt the metaphor with the essay was interesting. Do continue writing reflectively and keep working on expressing yourself as accurately and eloquently as possible.
