Chapter 1

August 26th

August is going to be in end. We are quite boring, because we have already played all the characters that we can play. I think maybe it is a great thing to have school, and east we have numerous classmates to play with. Sometime, the class is interesting, in fact, and the teacher is kind.

But today, Dill come up with a crazy idea, which is making Mr. Boo come out of his house. What the hell! I have already told him that Boo is a dangerous person, although I and scout have never seen him. But he was described as a person that went out at night and ate some animals alive. It was a ghost that Mr. Boo is in people’s gossip. I am firmly convinced that provided that I play tricks on him, he do will kill me and eat my corpse.

On the other hand, Atticus never let us to annoy him. He, even if, doesn’t let me to call him “Boo”. He asked us to call him “Aryhur”, which is Mr. Boo’s real name, but never was called by others. If I do the idea given by Dill, I am afraid I will make Atticus angry, maybe he will whip me. Atticus ever whipped me since I can remember.

Thus I said to Dill that if you feel like being killed, all you need do was go up and knock on the front door. But Dill bet me The Gray Ghost against Two Tom Swifts that I wouldn’t get any further than the Radley gate. And he said I am too scared even to put my big toe in the front yard.

I have never lost in the bet. I don’t want to lose this time. So I want to play tricks on Boo to win. And now I am so nervous about it, should I do it tomorrow?
