3rd journal

Chapter 4
June 30th
It was the last day of school, the teacher released us early. I walked home with scout. When we come to the oaks in front of the Radley place, Scout point out the knothole where she found the gum. She wanted to prove she is right. And she did want she wanted to do, because we found that she was pointing at another piece of tinfoil.
I was excited, because at first I think she was telling a lie to free herself from the punishment of eating the food from the ground. I looked around, and pocketed the tiny shiny package lighted. We ran back home, and we looked at the box we just got. There are two pennies in it. I was in great delighted because the coins are really old and can make me lucky.
Scout asked me who put this in that hole. And I have no idea too. Except for us, I thought that no one passed by there. I didn’t know what to do. I am firmly convinced that we had better give this money back, in that it was not same as other things such as milk … But I didn’t know who we should give it back to. At last, I decided to keep it until school start.
In fact, I think I know who put these things in that hole, but I only don’t want to say his name, Boo. The tree is in front of his yard. Cecil ,lived at the end of our street, walk one mile every school day in order to avoid Radley and old Mrs. Dubose, who as meanest old women. I never go by her place without Atticus beside me. It was a street is sparsely populated. I don’t know whether it is right to take the thing in the hole. Scout ate the gum get from that hole without any event happen. I think Mr. Author is not as bad as he was described in the gossip.
