6th journal

Chapter 8
Nov 11th
It started snowing, which is unbelievable to the most experienced prophets in Maycomb Country. But I and Scout can become delighted as other children, because Mr. Avery said that supposing some children disobeyed their parents, the seasons would change. I am ashamed and uneasy that we make lots of trouble to the neighbor. Atticus also said that we would have two weeks of the coldest weather since 1885, which made me and scout feel guiltier about ourselves.
Today, we make a snow man by borrowing the snow in Miss Maudie’s garden. It made me feel happy not only because I made a snow man but also because I helped Miss Maudie to take over the troubles made by us.
While we were transferring the snow, Scout asked me that if I am to make a snow baby. Nonetheless, I had a great idea in my mind that time. I decided to make a snow man by using snow and soil, which let Scout said that I made a nigger snow man. And
And I was awaked. at first, we made the snow man looks like Mr. Avery. However, when Atticus saw it, laughing, he said that I had perpetrated a near libel in the front yard. Thus, I had to change my character. I get the sun hat of Miss. Maudie and put it on the snow man’s head, which make Miss Maudie grinned.
It was really cold at night. We still wanted to get warmer, although we have already turned the entire fireplace on. While I was sleeping, I felt someone shake me. And Atticus said that Miss Maudie’s house was burned, and neighbors were helping to put out a fire. When we went back to home, we found that there was a blanket which is not ours in Scout’s body. I did know who gave it to Scout. Suddenly, a crazy idea appeared in my mind, Mr. Radley. It was he that gave the blanket to Scout. There are so many feeling in my mind at that moment. I told everything to Atticus. Atticus didn’t whip me, which made me feel relaxed. And I went to bed a few minutes late.
